In my opinion no it is not disrespectful for you to buy lingerie for your significant other. I buy my wife lingerie from time to time. I don't have a problem with going into a store, and buying her underwear, or any other kind of lingerie.
She also buys me some women's panties as well. The only thing that I really have trouble buying for her is bra's because they are not comfortable if they don't fit her properly. We have a great time shopping for lingerie for each other, and we have a great deal of fun when we wear it for each other.
Panties are the only thing that I wear that is women's lingerie,but I love when my wife wears anything that is very sexy, and very silky. For me the silkier the better on both of us. But I have a little trouble finding really silky lingerie for a plus size woman. But she is very sexy in any kind of lingerie she wears.
